Thankfully, from Owen's turn at the Rumble right through to throwing in the towel at Survivor Series to cost his brother the WWF Title, their rivalry just went from strength to strength. On the debut edition of Action Zone on October 23rd, 1994, Bret would once again defend the WWF Championship against his brother Owen, only this time, The King of Harts had The Anvil in his corner and The Hitman had The British Bulldog. What makes this match so great is the tight psychology. After battling for several minutes, Neidhart slammed Bret's knee into the ring post which Owen immediately took advantage of, so the story of the match became the younger brother viciously working on the knee to try and beat the Champion. In the end, Bulldog countered some interference from Jim Neidhart and Bret ended up pinning Owen to retain the title but the addition of the two family members in the corner gave this match a different dynamic than most of the Bret and Owen matches from earlier in the year and managed to make you want to see a tag team grudge match to finally settle the family feud.
