10 Forgotten Gems From WWF's New Generation Era

5. The Steiner Brothers Vs. The Hart Brothers (WrestleFest 1994)

By the beginning of 1994, it had become clear that The Steiner Brothers run in the WWF wasn't going to be the success everyone thought it would be when they came in twelve months earlier. They'd won the tag team titles and dropped them to The Quebecers and would leave the company in mid 1994, but their best WWF match, never made it onto WWF pay-per-view or Television and would only be seen on the WrestleFest 1994 VHS which was their battle with The Hart Brothers (Bret and Owen) from January of 1994. This match would see Bret and Owen working as a unit against Rick and Scott and it seemed like for this one match, The Steiners belonged in the WWF and they battled The Harts, who at this point were united and hadn't fallen out yet. The match went almost half an hour back and forth until eventually the two teams got counted out. A post-match brawl would ensue until the four men eventually embraced. The finish isn't the best and if you didn't know, you'd assume it would set up a big rematch down the road but sadly that didn't happen. Still, it's nice to see The Steiners able to really let loose and have a great match with The Harts.
