If you're searching through this list looking for the amazing Best 2-out-of 3 Falls match between Sami Zayn and Cesaro from August 2013, you will be sorely disappointed. While it is undoubtedly one of the greatest matches in NXT's illustrious history, it is by no means a "forgotten hidden gem" as it is often talked about among fans. Therefore, it has no place on this list.

But what does belong near the top of this list is Zayn's subsequent encounter with Cesaro's tag team partner, Jack Swagger. Zayn was still reeling from the hard-hitting loss to The Swiss Superman when Swagger arrived on NXT with Zeb Colter by his side to challenge him to a match in the main event of the Sept. 4 edition of NXT.

Being the ultimate underdog that he is, Zayn agreed to do battle with The Real American, and their matchup did not disappoint. For as much flack as he gets for his lack of charisma, Swagger is an extraordinary wrestler and can contest great matches with the proper opponent. It didn't take long for these two to find chemistry together, and once they did, they produced a mat classic with Zayn coming close to knocking off the former world champion before ultimately falling short.

Swagger should look into an extended stay in NXT and he just might experience a career resurgence the same way others have.
