10 Forgotten Storylines For WWE Hall Of Famers

4. Boss Man Goes To War - Big Boss Man

The late, great Ray Traylor played a rogue's gallery of characters across his wrestling career, but he will forever be known as the nightstick-swinging, dog-cooking, coffin-stealing law enforcement officer the Big Boss Man.

This was the guise under which Traylor was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2016, but his involvement in this storyline was under a very different name.

As The War Machine, Traylor was part of the second ever War Games match. Teaming up with The Four Horsemen, War Machine battled Dusty Rhodes, Nikita Koloff, Paul Ellering, and The Road Warriors in the Miami, Florida leg of the Great American Bash 1987 tour.

Despite losing the match for his team via spiky armband to the eye, Traylor did become a member of an exclusive club that day. Dave Meltzer awarded that match five stars, the only bout of Boss Man's career to achieve such an honour.

Technically, that makes Ray Traylor as good a wrestler as Dynamite Kid and Keith Lee and better than Kurt Angle, Rob Van Dam, and Eddie Guerrero.

That should set the comments off nicely.
