10 Forgotten WWE Masked Men
4. Kwang
From a character that lasted two months to one that stuck around for two years, Kwang the Ninja debuted in July 1993. Portrayed by a man who would become Savio Vega, Kwang was the subject of numerous vignettes all warning of a ninja master from the East. When we finally got to see the mysterious Kwang we saw a man utilizing a strike heavy move-set complete with Asian/green mist.
From that description, a more modern fan might be picturing someone along the lines of future WWE star Tajiri. The telling difference here was that Kwang was portrayed by a rather beefy Puetro Rican man who wasn't suited to the move set he was asked to implement.
Kwang was managed by Harvey Wippleman for a short time but never managed to put a convincing run of wins together. Losing to the marquee names of the era such as The Undertaker and Razor Ramon, the Kwang character slowly got phased out. Two weeks later, a mask-less Savio Vega was introduced as Razor's childhood friend after interfering in a match.
