10 Forgotten WWE Wrestlers Who Were Supposed To Be Stars

8. Zeus

Though he would take up the Tinseltown namesake years later, "No Holds Barred" is probably one time Hulk Hogan wished he hadn't gone "Hollywood." The movie not only resulted in a film that didn't turn a profit, but also made the Hulkster an enemy in the process: In-film rival Zeus, a monster of a man whose sights were dead-set on running wild on Hulkamania. Anyway, WWF decided to make the most of their pro wrestling-based movie by bringing "Zeus: The Human Wrecking Machine" into the "real" world and having him call out Hogan. His reason? He got second-billing in the movie. In a way, it's surprising Hulk didn't just give him top billing upon request after critics panned it. In any case, Zeus got a bit more of a rub by not only getting his match against Hogan and partner Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, but by getting to team up with fellow Hogan rival "Macho Man" Randy Savage as well. A few more matches were had, with Hulkamania running wild each time, so it's little wonder that he didn't stick around too long. He did reprise his role under the new name of "Ze Gangster" in World Championship Wrestling, where he was a member of The Alliance to End Hulkamania in 1996. All that time, he wanted to turn the red-and-yellow black-and-blue. At least his wish would come half-true only months later at the Bash at the Beach.
