10 Former WWE Stars Who Deserve Another Shot

3. Wade Barrett

Almost four years on, we're still rubbing our eyes in disbelief over that 'King' Barrett drivel in 2015. It was a senseless waste of talent to turn 'Bad News Barrett' into a cartoonish royal who held about as much menace as a character in UK kid's book series Horrible Histories.

No wonder big Stu Bennett decided enough was enough and elected to leave the following year.

Since then, he's popped back up as GM in Defiant Wrestling and ITV's World Of Sport revival. In both roles, Stu proved how excellent a promo man he is all over again, and he's also been able to show his chops as a colour commentator into the bargain. If he ever made a WWE return, he'd be best off behind the announce desk doing that.

The Englishman has a rich voice, is very well-spoken and knows when to pick his spots as a colour man; that's something that takes some years to master. He also comes with the added advantage of in-ring experience that lends credibility.
