10 Former WWE Superstars Who Need To Return To NXT
2. Carlito
A Carlito return to NXT? Sounds pretty cool, doesn't it? Carlito is another one, like Rhyno, who really didn't fulfil his potential during his WWE run. Things started out brightly enough and he was one of the featured performers on Smackdown, but he gradually fell down the card amidst rumours of bad attitude and apathy on his part. Since his 2010 release, Carlito has been keeping relatively quiet. He has been working for several low-profile indies as well as going back for the WWC in Puerto Rico, where he is booked as a top star. He has also, as anyone who follows him on Twitter will know, been working on getting in shape and has become a self-confessed 'body guy' (he often takes shots at big, muscular untalented wrestlers on the social media site). Carlito is still young (he's 35) and is still fresh in the minds of WWE/NXT fans. His speech at the 2014 Hall of Fame ceremony, where he inducted his father Carlos Colon, proved that Carlito still has charisma in abundance. WWE could do a lot worse than draft him in to work a short programme or two with some of their up-and-coming talents. Carlito versus Owens or Carlito versus Sami Zayn, for example, are very exciting prospects on paper.
