10 Former WWE Superstars Who Need To Return To NXT
8. Hardcore Holly
There are few superstars in the history of WWE that are tougher superstars than Bob 'Hardcore' Holly. This is a guy that finished matches after suffering a huge, deep cut to the middle of his back, a fractured forearm and a broken neck. Holly is perhaps most well-known (in some circles) for an incident with Matt Cappotelli incident that happened during the third season of Tough Enough. Holly, sensing that the contestants weren't taking their training seriously enough, demanded that he get in the ring with them. Once inside the squared circle, he began to pound Cappotelli, blacking his eye and bloodying his lip. Since then, Holly has developed a reputation as a bully. Since leaving the company, however, Bob has had the chance to tell his side of the story and has converted many people into fans. While Holly is semi-retired and doesn't fancy appearing on WWE TV, he would be a great fit for a match or programme in NXT. Holly has stated that he loves to train and mentor young talents and still wrestles on the independent scene from time to time and keeps himself in great shape. Holly is a seasoned veteran and a storyline pretty much writes itself. Holly could come in as a disgruntled former star who believes that the NXT guys have it easy and need to earn his respect, playing off the Tough Enough incident. Holly is 52, sure, but he can still go in the ring.
