10 Frustrating WWE Storylines That'll Never Have A Conclusion
7. Who Won NXT Redemption?
Before NXT became the ridiculously good developmental wrestling showcase that it is today, it was billed as a wrestling/reality show hybrid, akin to Tough Enough, but actually treated like a third brand, like what happened with WWE ECW before it ended. After season 1, the show's flaws started to show more than ever as creative didn't want to really push any graduates from the program. Other than Daniel Bryan and a few of those who formed the Nexus, everyone else struggled to get over. Most notably, Kaval left a few months after winning season 2, because creative had nothing for him. That brings us to the final and never-ending season of NXT, NXT Redemption. NXT Redemption attempted to recycle several talents who didn't win in previous seasons, in order to give them a second chance. The contestants were Derrick Bateman, Darren Young, Titus O'Neil, Conor O'Brian, Lucky Cannon, Byron Saxton and Jacob Novak. The series got down to the last three contestants, Bateman, O'Neil and Young, but for some reason it stopped there. NXT then became treated like a brand, like a waiting room for failed talent, the mentors gradually disappearing, while wrestlers who were dwindling on Smackdown and Raw were brought in. Of course the cancellation of the awful NXT Redemption was a good thing as it led to the fantastic reinvention we know and love now, but who won NXT Redemption? After several months of build-up, it seems silly to not have some kind of conclusion.
