10 Fun Facts About My Trip To The 25th Anniversary Of WWE WrestleMania

2. A Stone Cold Sendoff

Right before the main event at WrestleMania, they brought out all the Hall of Fame inductees as usual and we applauded politely in the crowd as you always do when the legends come out. Then Stone Cold disappeared quickly. Had he gone in a huff because his Hall of Fame speech was so short?! (I'll get over it, I promise). Moments later, the glass shattered and at this point, bearing in mind I've been to five WrestleManias, it was one of the loudest reactions I've ever witnessed live. It was a goosebump-incucing moment for sure. As a teenager, Steve Austin was wrestling for me. I travelled to the rubbish UK pay per-views in England with my Mum just to get a live dose of The Texas Rattlesnake. He changed wrestling, and made it can't-miss in the late 1990's. I teared up as we seemed to clap and shout forever at how much everyone loved him and would miss him. He drank copious amounts of beer, shared one with JR and saluted Texas one more time. It was magical stuff and a moment I'll never forget.
