10 Fun Facts About My Trip To WWE WrestleMania 21

I was on hand when WrestleMania went Hollywood.

After going to Seattle and New York for WrestleMania in 2003/04, when WWE announced they€™d be going to Los Angeles in 2005, it didn€™t take much convincing to get me to book my tickets and make it three years in a row.

Shortly after WrestleMania XX, I did something I hadn€™t done since 1995: I stopped watching WWE for about 5 months in the spring and summer months of 2004. I just wasn€™t captivated by the Chris Benoit World Title reign on RAW or the Guerrero/JBL series on SmackDown and having just gone to University again, going out to bars and house parties took priority over what felt like a poor WWE product.

I tuned back in for SummerSlam that year and with Randy Orton winning the World title and Undertaker and JBL battling for the belt, I started to enjoy the show again and that€™s when I decided to book the flights to LA and make it three WrestleManias on the bounce.

In February of 2005 I was watching RAW, when a video package played announcing the headline Hall of Fame inductee for that year as none other than Hulk Hogan. I remember having tears in my eyes at the time, cheesy as it sounds. I started watching because of him and now I€™d get to be there live for him being inducted in the Hall of Fame. Unbelievable.
