3. My Hatred Of The Presentation Of Shawn Michaels
The more people get to know me and what I like about wrestling, they see that continuity of storylines is a big part of what keeps me happy/sane. There are little, lazy details that make my blood boil. A recent example of this is all of the Undertaker advertising featuring pictures of him from 2008 with flowing long hair. It drives me crazy because the old Phenom shaved his head almost four years ago, so the fact they use that photo is just insulting an pointless. We've all seen him with a mohawk and the Frasier Crane look, meaning there's no reason to try and hide it. In early 2007, HHH got injured while tagging with his DX partner, Shawn Michaels, against Rated-RKO (at New Year's Revolution). The Game being sidelined meant the end of D-Generation X for the foreseeable future. HBK would then get a shot at John Cena for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. Michaels and Cena even won the World Tag Titles in the weeks leading up to the show to add to the intrigue. It was main event time at Ford Field and Shawn Michaels was dressed like The Heartbreak Kid. Only, it wasn't Sexy Boy they played as he walked down the aisle, it was the DX theme! WWE were even selling DX glowsticks at the merch stand. Michaels had clearly moved away from the DX team, but this lazy hybrid of his solo gear with DX music almost caused me to blow a gasket. WWE saved the best part till last: Cena and Michaels both came out to the ring WITHOUT their Tag Team Title. Way to put over the championships, Vince! *Please note I may be over-reacting just a little bit.
