7. Almost Got Attacked In A Hulkamania Backpack

As a late christmas present, my friend Kerry was nice enough to get me a Hulkamania backpack, hoping that I'd hate how gaudy it was, but in fact I thought it was brilliant. We'd been at Axxess in Phoenix and had to get back to our hotel, so we hopped on a tram back down to our Super 8 Motel which was on the corner of 8th or 10th street in Phoenix. We ended up getting off the tram at about 18th street because we missed our stop. What we didn't know is that this part of town is not where you wanna be at night, especially if you're a tourist. Picture the scene: four British guys, one of them wearing a Hulkamania backpack, trying to navigate their way back to the hotel. You may think I'm embellishing this story but I assure you, this is exactly what happened. We are walking along and a group of five or six guys in their early 20s appear from this alleyway and cross the road, with them ending up walking right behind us. As we try to not get paranoid, they start to walk a little faster. We get to a corner and see a little cafe. A cafe that didn't have a door, but had those big flaps you get in an entry to a meat freezer and that's how you got into the place. We got in there and called a cab as the young guys stood on the street corner looking into the cafe at us sporadically. I told my friend it'd be bad enough to be attacked but that If I don't make it through and people back home find out I got murdered in a Hulkamania backpack, I'll be the laughing stock of Glasgow. Picture the headline "SCOTTISH MAN KILLED WHILE WEARING HULK HOGAN BACKPACK". It's not the way I want to go. Luckily,we made it into the cab and as we drove away from the gang.
