A few weeks before WrestleMania, WWE announced that NXT would be running a show just two nights before the Grandaddy Of Them All.

The company had an ambitious goal of selling out a 5,000 seater venue. This was to be the biggest test for the developmental brand so far. Could they sell it out? The answer was a big fat Yes! The show was sold out as fans from across the world congregated to see NXT.

When we arrived in the San Jose University Event Center, there was a different kind of buzz compared to a regular WWE show. There was a throng of teenagers, and older fans who had come to the event to see some of WWE's most exciting and fresh talent battling it out.

The show opened with Hideo Itami battling Tyler Breeze. With it being a non-televised show, we never expected the guys to pull anything special out of the bag and then out of nowhere Itami hit the GTS for the first time in his WWE career. The crowd went nuts and NXT was fast proving itself as the place to be.

Later in the evening, it was announced "the following contest is for the NXT Womens Championship" and the roar of the crowd gave me goosebumps. The audience was elated that we'd get to see Sasha Banks and Charlotte battle for the Women's Title. The two put on a fantastic match to the point that no match on the card could follow them.

As we left the arena, everybody around us was talking about Sasha and Charlotte and Bayley. The Divas Revolution had already started in San Jose that night.
