10 Fun Facts From My Trip To WWE WrestleMania 32
5. Meeting WC Readers & Listeners At WrestleCon
When we decided to come to Dallas for WrestleMania weekend, it was decided that we'd get a table at the WrestleCon convention to give all of the loyal WhatCulture subscribers, listeners, and readers a chance to come and meet everyone (Adam). It would also give us a chance to say thanks for all the support.
As we arrived at our table, we realised that Chris Masters was beside us. We initially hoped to strike up some banter with him, but he didn't seem very keen so we just left him to it. He was later joined by Shelton Benjamin which seemed to cheer him up. Yay... friends!
We met so many great people over the weekend including a family who had travelled TWENTY-ONE HOURS to come to Dallas purely for the WhatCulture events. They were leaving before WrestleMania but wanted to come and meet us. We all gave them big hugs and tried to thank them as much as we could.
Then there's the t-shirt. F*ck Kenny is a slogan that my lovely colleague Adam Blampied came up with, and before I knew it, WhatCulture had made a t-shirt that was being sold at WrestleCon. As you can see from the picture above, several gentlemen asked me to take a photo with them while they happily held the t-shirt in front of the camera. I agreed to it, on the condition that they wouldn't get a smile out of me. They were contributing to the Blampied reign of terror and naturally I couldn't support that.
In all seriousness, meeting people who watch the videos, taking pictures with them or signing their Shocking Moments book was a fantastic experience and I'll fondly remember it for a long, long time.
