10 Fun Facts From My Trip To WWE WrestleMania XXVII

4. Rock Says Yabba, We Put Our Head In Our Hands

Everyone was buzzing at The Great One's return a month before WrestleMania. He did his classic schtick, we got the typical Rock catchphrases, backstage skits, promos... just about everything you could want from Rock. As the guest hose of 'Mania, he opened the show to warm up the crowd, which made sense given that the crowd in the Georgia Dome were dying to see him. He made his way down the ramp and we all cheered like fourteen year old girls at a One Direction concert. He grabbed the mic and started his classic Rock promo. And then it happened. Rock was talking about Cena and his bright shirts and he decided to do a bit of audience participation. "Atlanta, when I say YABBA, you say DABBA!". Erm... WHAT? The one-time coolest guy in wrestling was opening WrestleMania by getting us to shout Flinstones phrases at him. At that moment, it was time to buy the first drink of the evening. The Rock had went from being the cool Uncle that gave you some beer when you were 15 to being the Uncle who tries to do air guitar in front of your friends to songs that are completely before your time.
