10 Future AEW World Champions

5. PAC

Mjf Aew Champ
AEW

One of the best professional wrestlers on the planet, PAC has everything it takes to become world champion. Gold hasn't followed the man over the last decade but few champions have carried themselves with as much importance as the Bastard, no matter the title in question. PAC was one of the best NXT Champions and was also the best holder of the modern Cruiserweight Championship, a fact that some may begin to argue before remembering the other title reigns.

AEW is unlikely to obsess over such 'firsts', but it seems a safe bet that PAC will be the first British AEW Champion. It seems incredible that WWE has never had an English world champion, especially considering the importance of that particular market, but history is history. AEW surely won't make that same mistake, and PAC will be the man to benefit.

Before the world hit the fan, PAC was gaining momentum alongside the Lucha Brothers in the Death Triangle, or Triángulo de la Muerte. A proper dream group, the alliance seemed set to catapult its three men into the main event scene. PAC, Pentagon and Fenix are three of the most elite wrestlers in a promotion that prides itself on its eliteness. If this is a place where creams rises to the top, you can put the house on PAC winning the AEW World Championship in future.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
