4. Rusev

Okay, the former Rusev is yet to reappear in a wrestling ring following his release from WWE, but the world really is the Bulgarian's oyster. Arguably the most sought-after of all the talent released backed in April, the former three-time WWE United States Champion has potential suitors waiting for him all over the world.

NJPW is where most fans hope Miro turns up, but what price a venture into the shark-infested waters of All Elite Wrestling? Arn Anderson and Jim Ross are noted fans of his, and it doesn't take a genius to know that AA and JR are two highly-respected voices within the AEW walls. Throw in the man's obvious talents and point of difference as a brutal human tank, and a world champion-in-waiting you have.

Rusev was never given a fair throw of the dice in WWE. That might seem like a strange claim, considering the secondary championships and all that, but WWE's reluctance to push the Bulgarian eventually led to him spinning his wheels. If AEW is lucky enough to get its hands on Miro, it won't make the same mistake.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
