10 Future WWE Champions Currently On NXT

If Gargano is a candidate for a WWE Title run, then the same probably has to be said of Tommaso Ciampa, his ex-tag team partner and the man with whom he shared one of those five-star matches just a couple of weeks ago over WrestleMania weekend.

Ciampa's credentials as a potential main roster star are there for all to see. He's a good wrestler, effective as both a face and a heel, and of course he has more hair on his face than he does his head (see also: Stone Cold, Goldberg).

The break-up of #DIY has been one of NXT's biggest-ever storylines, culmating with an unsanctioned grudge match that got top billing at TakeOver: New Orleans over the title match.

For him to be a part of that shows just how much potential developmental heads must see in this guy. He's shown that he can pull in enormous levels of heat and, perhaps more importantly, help build a groundswell of support around a good guy opponent. That's a talent not many on Raw or SmackDown currently have.
