What truly makes Okada incredible is that not only are his matches wonderful, they are all different. He can be ripped apart by Suzuki, trade OMG moments with Omega and get chucked about by Michael Elgin. Which if you hadn’t guessed, is what happened here.

In the early days of this tournament, Okada looked unbeatable and it wasn't until his seventh match that he took a fall. He almost didn't get that far though, as on night four he came up against Michael Elgin. It was the invincible champ versus the unmovable object and Elgin had an answer for every Rainmaker Okada tried to throw. It was a simple story, but one that worked as Big Mike tried to remove the champion's head.

Unfortunately for Elgin, Okada's story is set and part of that is his incredible ability to take a beating and the feeling that you can only avoid the Rainmaker for so long. However, New Japan had achieved their goal; even in defeat it was clear that Elgin deserved to be among the very best.
