2. John Cena – Extreme Rules 2010

In 2010 Dave Bautista was on his way out of the WWE to look for a career in Hollywood. Before he left he put Cena over at three back-to-back PPVs. A standout of those matches being their Extreme Rules violent affair, with WWE getting creative with the finish to the match.

In the main event of Extreme Rules John Cena defended his WWE Championship against ‘The Animal’ Batista in a brutal Last Man Standing match, with spots involving Cena AA-ing Batista onto chairs and through the announce desk and Batista shoving Cena through tables and the barricade. They traded Batista Bombs and STFs on each other. The ending of the match had Cena use the STF on Batista to the point where he tapped/passed out. The ref started the 10 count but Batista somehow got to his feet at a 9 count.

Cena tactically at this point rolled out of the ring and simply tied the weakened Batista’s feet together to the ring post with duct tape. Batista had to panic and watch Cena doing his “You Can’t See Me” taunt as the ref counted to 10 and declared Cena the winner and still WWE Champion.
