10 Gimmick Matches WWE Should NEVER Book Again

8. Blindfold Match

Attention all pro wrestling promoters: 'Blindfold Matches' are rubbish.

They're comedy set pieces, sure, but they have to rank amongst the worst tricks the 'variety show in tights' spectacle of wrasslin' can throw up. Once you've seen one, you've seen them all. That's a huge problem, because it doesn't leave much for individual ingenuity or flashes of inspiration.

Fans watching know workers will stumble around pretending they can't see one another at all. They also know that the heel will lift up his/her hood behind the referee's back to gain an unfair advantage. It's pure pantomime, and not in a good way. Every match plays out in almost identical fashion, which is boring.

WWE should think twice before booking another one of these snores. They're the kind of match type that should be restricted to house shows (when they come back), because they're only good for entertaining the kiddies in between trips to the merch stands.
