10 Gimmicks That WWE Dropped Without Explanation

3. Pancake Patterson

If you ever have friends round for a wrasslin' quiz night, ask them about 'Pancake Patterson'. Unless they happen to covet the 18 March 2013 edition of Raw, then they'll look at you like you've picked up the wrong question sheet. If they're lucky, someone will connect the dots and come up with Titus O'Neil.

He's the answer to all of life's problems, after all.

Seriously, ol' 'Pancake' was a Titus creation concocted to build towards a John Cena vs. Darren Young match that nobody wanted in the first place. O'Neil donned a stupid wig, had some other props and did his comedy bit to the delight of few, and then his alter-ego was never heard from again.

As you've probably guessed by now, WWE didn't bother to give a reason for Pancake's drop into forgotten territory. O'Neil ditched it rapid and that was that - he has never (to this writer's knowledge) played or made reference to the gimmick since.
