10 Glaring Main Event Pushes WWE Missed Out On

1. Mr. Perfect

As the arrogant 'Mr. Perfect', Curt Hennig was a tremendous heel in the late-80's. Hennig was so strong that he was even booked into a feud opposite none other than Hulk Hogan. The rivalry wasn't really given the time to develop it arguably should have, and Hennig was rarely used in the main event again. Even though he remained a popular star, Mr. Perfect was not a regular headliner. That's unfortunate, because Hennig was virtually flawless as a performer. The 'Mr. Perfect' character was a suitably perfect fit, and Curt excelled at anything the creative team passed his way. Admittedly, the man's back would play havoc with any potential main event career, and he had to put himself through immense pain to wrestle on a regular basis. In 1993, Perfect wrestled an incredible match against Bret Hart at the 1993 King Of The Ring. It seemed like he was on top form once more, but back injuries would force him from the company by the end of the year. Way back in 1990, it seemed like the wrong timing for Hennig to become a main event star. Vince McMahon was still obsessed with huge bodies, which clouded judgement over Mr. Perfect becoming established at the top of the card.
