One of the absolute best talkers of his generation, Jake 'The Snake' Roberts is still remembered to this day. His run in the WWF of the late-80's and early-90's is legendary, Roberts was one truly interesting character. As a babyface, he was beloved, and as a heel he was able to show even more of his verbal chops. It's startling that Jake wasn't used more at the top of the card. Roberts did have featured rivalries against the likes of The Ultimate Warrior and Randy Savage, but they sadly didn't really satisfy in the end. Nobody who witnessed it will ever forget the infamous angle whereby Jake set his snake on Savage, but the wrestler was gone from the promotion shortly afterwards. Jake Roberts could have been a top heel around this time in the WWF. Unfortunately, personal problems were a constant worry with the man, and likely didn't help proceedings. That in mind, he definitely deserved a chance to headline more often. As a heel, he would have been tailor-made to rival Hulk Hogan, just as one example. Roberts could have also had excellent matches against Bret Hart when he became champion.
