10 Glorious Things That Must Happen In WWE Before 2017

5. Eva Marie Becomes Queen Of SmackDown

Eva Marie is the most complete professional wrestler in the world today, regardless of gender. With Chris Jericho’s charisma, Daniel Bryan’s technical excellence, and The Rock’s star power, she’s a superstar in the making, and well on her way to revolutionising the sport as we know it.

Okay, maybe not, but her recent SmackDown work has been pretty glorious nonetheless.

Eva’s not exactly Becky Lynch in the ring (heck, she’s barely Cameron), and she’s clumsy and awkward on the microphone, but she’s perfect in her current role. The match-avoidance schtick is ideal for her, and plays to her reality as an under-skilled fitness model who probably shouldn’t be in this position in the first place.

On-air, Eva loves the glitz and glamour, but doesn’t want anything to do with the hard work that it takes to reach the top. Her drawn-out ring entrance and continued reluctance to wrestle drives fans round the bend, and as the Brand Split finishes its first month, Eva Marie is the prime focus of SmackDown’s women’s decisions.

Nobody knows how her Wellness suspension is going to affect her long-term prospects, but if Eva Marie continues where she left-off, she’s got to be SmackDown’s first Women’s Champion. She’s got too much heat not to sit atop the division, and just imagine the look on Becky and Natalya’s faces when this undeserving ex-model swans in and steals the belt.
