10 Goldberg WWE Matches You Completely Forgot About

2. Batista - RAW November 2003

It was Batista who would pick up the $100,000 bounty put on Goldberg's head by Triple H, although he did this by taking out Bill's ankle as opposed to his head. After 'breaking' Goldberg's ankle Batista went one on one with the former World Heavyweight Champion in November 2003, back when Batista was all potential but no continuity in the ring.

Goldberg picked up the win via disqualification after Triple H interfered, a clear move to protect Batista somewhat by not having him take a pinfall. This decision clearly shows the pecking order of Evolution at the time, with Orton taking a clean loss to Goldberg, Flair losing via something of a mess and Batista losing via DQ.

In 2017 Batista vs. Goldberg is considered even more of a dream match than Randy Orton vs. Goldberg. Batista and Goldberg share a lot of similarities, but with Dave's movie career taking off and his 2014 return going so badly it is unlikely that we will see the Guardians of the Galaxy star back in the ring any time soon. Batista vs. Goldberg may well end up being another dream match that fans never got to see.
