After defeating The Rock in his WWE debut, Goldberg was moved into a feud with Chris Jericho in order to keep his waters boiling until the inevitable world title feud in the autumn. WWE was going to put together the Goldberg/Jericho pay-per-view match that WCW had famously failed to book, and as such a story of sorts needed to be thrown together to buy time before the two did battle at Badd Blood 2003.

As a result a mystery assailant story was implemented, where an individual attempted to run over Goldberg with a limousine. The assailant turned out to be none other than Mr. Dependable himself, Lance Storm, who claimed he was told to do it by longtime buddy and former tag team partner Chris Jericho.

This led to a match between Goldberg and Storm on RAW in May of 2003, and needless to say the match didn't last long. Goldberg is intense at the best of times, but when faced with an individual that tried to run him over it is safe to say Bill's violence was always going to be a little sharper. 66 seconds after the bell rang to start the match it did so to end Storm's misery.
