10 Good Matches From Wrestlers You Wouldn't Expect

3. Hornswoggle (WeeLC Match) - Extreme Rules 2014

Little person Hornswoggle's gimmick was that of a mischievous leprechaun for much of his time in the WWE, a faintly offensive character based on mute childlike antics and a stream of short jokes from Jerry Lawler.

Hornswoggle made intermittent in-ring appearances, but his best match was the WeeLC match on the pre-show of Extreme Rules 2014. Swogs had gone from cheeky mock-Irish munchkin to a member of jobber trio 3MB, and engaged in a feud with El Torito, the diminutive mascot of Los Matadores who dressed as a bull. Their match was a gimmick-heavy 'WeeLC' contest with miniature ladders, tables and chairs employed for maximum hilarity.

WeeLC, against all the odds, managed to be pretty entertaining. El Torito was a legitimate athlete and highly experienced luchador, and Hornswoggle worked his bolshy rock star heel character hard as Torito backflipped and sentoned around him.

3MB were the butt of most of the jokes, with a highlight being future WWE champion Jinder Mahal taking a headbutt to the groin. Hornswoggle played an excellent heel game to sell El Torito's athleticism and pulled off an improbably fun match that should have been utterly dire.
