3. The Rock VS Triple H (Judgment Day 2000)
WWE.comThis match is remembered for the return of The Undertaker, making his debut with the American Badass biker character, but the match itself is often overlooked. Of course, the sight of Taker speeding to the ring on a motorcycle, with his coat blowing in the breeze behind him, is still pretty cool, and it only adds to the match, instead of truly taking away from it. When the match was given the 60-Minute Ironman stipulation, wrestling fans cringed. Sure, Rock and Triple H were entertaining to watch, but having them wrestle for 60 whole minutes? It didn't seem like the match would end up being very good. What we got was a far better than expected match, albeit one with too many overall falls. In the 60 minutes, we saw a total number of 11 falls, which, of course, means that there was a pinfall, submission, countout, or disqualification every five-and-a-half minutes or so, on average. That's an astronomical number, especially for a company that gave us Shawn Michaels VS Bret Hart for 60 minutes where there wasn't a single fall that happened. Triple H and The Rock get all the credit in the world for making it 60 minutes without having any real "down" periods, though. Nobody thought they could do it, but they did. They had come a long way from their Ladder Match, and had already reached the pinnacle of the business by this point, but this was when everyone finally agreed that they both belonged.
