10 Great Matches From WCW's Final Year

1. Goldberg vs. Scott Steiner (Fall Brawl - September, 2000)

Suffice to say, Scott Steiner was a revelation as a top heel in WCW towards the end of 2000 and into 2001. In essence, the bully Steiner was exactly what Goldberg was built for, as an antidote to wrestlers fans truly hated. Goldberg was a machine, custom built to put these bullies in their place, someone fans could live vicariously through. The feud between Steiner and Goldberg rivaled anything happening in the WWF at the time, a statement which may surprise many. It's the truth however, the men had tremendous chemistry when working together, and seemed to enjoy battering lumps out of one another, such as at Fall Brawl 2000. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1zt931_wcw-fall-brawl-2000-bill-goldberg-vs-scott-steiner_sport Billed as a No Disqualification match, the encounter was hard-hitting, and really had fans excited. For Steiner, it was only a matter of time before he'd be WCW World Champion, whereas Goldberg wouldn't really reach the heights he had previously with the promotion. Regardless, both men can proudly point to this match as a high point in their respective careers.
