10 Great Superstars Who Will Never Be WWE Champion

9. Samoa Joe

Being arguably the biggest star to come out of TNA certainly hasn't stopped Samoa Joe from making an impact on the NXT roster, but will he ever make it to the WWE? Since arriving in the Orlando based promotion, Joe has noticeably trimmed down and is looking better now than ever before. A run at the top in the WWE may seem like a given, but there may not be room for him there! Seth Rollins' absence certainly opens up a spot, but Joe's feud with Finn Balor points to him remaining a fixture there for the time being. That's no bad thing of course, especially as (given his years of experience) he's someone who is arguably used best to train future WWE Superstars. If he ends up as NXT Champion, then we'll know that there's at least a chance he could make the transition to the main roster to hold a title like the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, but based on how he's so far been utilised, Joe continuing to help get up and coming talents over before they make their main roster debut seems most likely. Ultimately, Joe's history with TNA might just also go against him. Over the years, Vince McMahon has overlooked many A-List wrestlers who have departed that company due to not wanting the WWE brand associated with them and to avoid the perception that they're in any way competition. Would he really crown the one-time face of TNA as his champion? Time will tell, but it's hard to picture it ever happening.
