5. Roppongi Vice
When WWE raided the talent of NJPW earlier this year, Rocky Romero was one of the men reportedly on the list. However, unlike AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, Romero opted to remain in Japan alonside Trent Beretta.
It turned out to be a wise move as Roppongi Vice have gone from strength to strength in 2016; although with a break up being teased between the two, they may not be sticking together much longer. That's a shame because Romero and Beretta have been one of the most exciting teams in the fast paced junior heavyweight tag team division in New Japan for the last couple of years.
Beretta, of course, was part of the WWE development system for years, never really being given the chance to shine, before his release in 2013. With his work over the last few years on the indies and in Japan, Beretta has more than earned another shot in NXT, while Romero has been one of the most consistent workers outside of the WWE system for more than a decade.
Given the chance, RPG Vice would put on fantastic matches with the talent in NXT and would add yet more depth to the roster.
