When Dara Daivari debuted with the WWE as the manager of the horribly ill-fated Muhammed Hassan character in October 2004, he was only twenty years old, yet incredibly he had been wrestling in the mid-west scene for around five years, since the age of fifteen. As Hassans mouthpiece, the heel Daivari was angry and arrogant, the perfect America-hating bad guy. When the controversial Hassan angle with the Undertaker was terminated early in July 2005, due to complaints from the network, Daivari would move on to working with Kurt Angle, first of all as a heel referee swerving matches his way, then later as a bona fide manager. After Angle, Daivari would briefly represent Mark Henry, who also feuded with the Undertaker, leading to Daivari being chokeslammed and then Tombstoned by the Dead Man. He would return, however, to officially announce the debut of the Great Khali on April 7th 2006. Daivari would go on to manage the Punjabi giant for some months, throughout another feud with the Undertaker, before finally the pair were drafted to the new ECW brand extension in late 2006, and the talented professional wrestler Daivari would get to actually wrestle in the professional wrestling promotion hed worked in for two years. Hes been wrestling ever since, including a year or so in TNA, where he became the X Division champion, and was and is such a fan of Shawn Michaels that he adopted the first name Shawn both before and after his stint in WWE. Daivari also achieved some mainstream notoriety when he intervened in an incident on a train in Minneapolis and used a rear naked choke to pacify a violent and disruptive drunk who was terrorising the passengers.
