10 Great Wrestlers (With Terrible WrestleMania Records)
5. Drew McIntyre (2-5)
The man Vince McMahon himself labelled "The Chosen One" has tended to look like anything but in his WrestleMania matches.
It's no secret that the wheels quickly fell of Drew McIntyre's initial run in McMahonland, and his booking at the Showcase of The Immortals reflects that. A nine-man ladder match, a 12-man tag, a 30-man battle royal... it's not just that McIntyre lost all those matches, it's that he was so obviously viewed as just another body by the people in charge.
WWE Creative doesn't bury people in multi-man matches for years if they have even a shred of faith in them, and it's clear McIntyre quickly burned through their good will in his first run there.
Fortunately, things have picked up for Drew since his return to the fold. His two losses came in high profile singles matches against two of the biggest stars in the company (Roman Reigns & Bobby Lashley), and his victories over Brock Lesnar & The Big Show at WrestleMania 36 were the perfect vindication for a man who had to claw his way to the top of the business.
