10 Great Wrestlers WWE Must Sign For The Cruiserweight Revival

3. Dragon Lee

At 21 years old, Dragon Lee is the youngest wrestler on this list by some margin. He’s also one of the most exhilarating, and while he undoubtedly has a bright future with CMLL if he sticks around in Mexico, WWE would be smart to snap him up immediately.

Already breaking into the main event scene in his home country, Lee is one of CMLL’s most popular wrestlers, and on his best nights, he’s among the best wrestlers in the world. His feud with New Japan Pro Wrestling young lion Kamaitachi has been nothing short of outstanding, and it’s genuinely difficult to think of a more compelling rivalry over the past year or so.

Seemingly producing a Match of the Year candidate every time they stepped into a ring, Dragon Lee and Kamaitachi made each other famous in Mexico and Japan with a series of fast-paced, hard-hitting encounters. Their January 24th, 2016 NJPW match is a particular highlight: from limb-work and psychology to crazy spots and death-defying dives, it featured everything that makes the lighter weight classes so entertaining, and you’d do well to check it out.

While his body of work is not particularly well-known yet, Dragon Lee is one of wrestling’s foremost rising stars. True, he might benefit from a few extra years with CMLL, but in signing him at such a young age, WWE can sculpt him into their ideal big match performer.

He already has the athleticism and creativity down: all Dragon Lee needs now is a little seasoning.
