10 Great Wrestling Feuds That Produced Disappointing Matches
6. The Undertaker Vs. Kane (2010)
When The Undertaker and Kane get together, threats are made, fireballs are thrown and lightning strikes anything that moves. As history has taught us, the Brothers of Destruction know exactly how to put on an entertaining program, and their 2010 feud proved to be a surprisingly thrilling tale of Kane's final attempt to step out of The Deadman's shadow. Though not as iconic as their original rivalry from 1998, it was still a highly-entertaining program that brought some much-needed supernaturalism back to WWE at a time when it was obsessed with reality.
Unfortunately, the pair's in-ring work wasn't anywhere near the standard it once was as they went on to produce a trilogy of underwhelming matches. Their No Holds Barred match does deserve some points for just how balls-to-the-walls it was, but it still couldn't hold a candle to their previous clashes. However, it was their Hell In A Cell and Buried Alive matches that were the real disappointments. 'Taker was clearly hurting throughout the whole feud and Kane just wasn't the right person to pair him with at this stage in his career.
When we think of The Undertaker and Kane, this feud's mythical promos may cross our minds, but the matches it produced aren't in the same league as the pair's legendary brawls from the late '90s. Their rivalry stood the test of time, but their match quality did not.
