When the names "Bret Hart" and "British Bulldog" are thrown at the average wrestling fan, most of their mind's will likely wander off to the pair's all-time classic at SummerSlam in 1992. For the shot of that Wembley crowd well and truly losing their heads at the sight of their countryman lifting Intercontinental title gold alone, it's not hard to see why.
But that wasn't the only time these two '90s megastars and Hart family members put on a masterclass together under the WWE banner. Three years on from their summer showpiece bout, Hart, now the WWE Champion, put his belt on the line against a heel Bulldog at In Your House 5: Seasons Beatings.
No doubt benefiting from not recovering from a drug binge before this rematch against The Hitman, Bulldog physically dominated Hart for much of the fight and looked mighty impressive doing it. Yet, the star of the show was the champ on this occasion, desperately fighting back from the brink - through a crimson mask, no less - to out manoeuvre the stronger man and roll-up the Brit for the win.
Looking back, perhaps this dramatically-charged bout even tops the aforementioned Wembley wonder...
