10 Great WWE Feuds That Never Got A One-On-One WrestleMania Match

8. Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit

It's always difficult to praise Chris Benoit, given the things he did, but he had some incredible rivalries in his time.

One of his best in WWE was with his namesake and fellow Canadian, Chris Jericho. The pair went from friends to enemies numerous times in the dying days of the Attitude Era, laying the groundwork for the workrate-heavy era of wrestling we live in today.

At 'Mania 2000, Benoit and Jericho were part of a three-way for both the Intercontinental and European Championships, where their dance partner (and double champ) was Kurt Angle. The pair actually pinned each other to win their respective belts, leaving Angle technically undefeated, but thoroughly belt-less.

Over the course of the next year, Benoit and Jericho clashed a number of times on TV and pay-per-view, notably at SummerSlam 2000 and Royal Rumble 2001.

They would share the ring one more time at WrestleMania 21 as part of the first-ever Money in the Bank ladder match. However, a one-on-one battle just wasn't on the cards.

Given the great matches both Chrises would have without each other, just imagine the WrestleMania magic they could have woven together.
