10 Great WWE Finishers Used By Less-Than-Great Wrestlers

6. The Ascension - Fall Of Man

The Ascension haven't exactly set the world alight on the WWE main roster. Is that an understatement? I dare say it is slightly more than an understatement. About ten whole minutes after arriving on the scene Viktor and Konnor were being destroyed on commentary, all setting up a segment in which the tag teams of the past would come back and wipe them out.

The duo had much more success in NXT, and they had a pretty gnarly finisher in the shape of the Fall of Man. They weren't the first to use the high and low as a finisher, but they seemed to hit it with slightly more intensity than those before them.

Matches involving the duo quickly descended into squashes, but no matter how mundane their general offence was their finishing move always ticked the right boxes.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
