10 Great WWE Finishers Used By Less-Than-Great Wrestlers

5. Baron Corbin - End Of Days

Another NXT graduate that hasn't quite caught on during his time on the main roster, Baron Corbin had a similar ascension (chortle chortle) in that his NXT time saw a whole lot of squashes, matches where he clunkily worked through the bulk before hitting his impressive finishing move.

That move is the End of Days, and it is certainly unique.

Wikipedia has it down as a 'Modified Reverse Lifting STO', which is a far messier description than the move itself. Corbin has also displayed an ability to hit the move 'out of nowhere', which is pretty much the most important attribute a WWE finishing move can have at this period in time.

Corbin has a long way to go as a professional wrestler, still coming across as somewhat mechanical and unnatural in the ring. One thing that is already in place is his finishing move.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
