10 Great WWE Finishers Used By Less-Than-Great Wrestlers

4. Rikishi - Rikishi Driver

When you think of Rikishi, what do you think of? Chances are the first thing that comes to mind is a big, pimply booty. Failing that, you may remember dancing, because in WWE fat guys dance. Always. A third thing? How about running over Stone Cold Steve Austin, for Da Rock?

You may even remember a slew of fairly mediocre matches as the former Headshrinker gained weight. His mobility grew more restricted, and whilst he was definitely serviceable throughout his career every now and then Big Kish would be involved in a real stinker - summed up via his other finishing move, the 'Stinkface'.

You know what you probably don't remember? Rikishi's awesome finishing move, the Rikishi Driver. Sure, it was a sitout inverted piledriver, but Rikishi's size plus seeming nonchalance in performing the move made it look sick, as the kids would say. His opponent would just get spiked, never to get up before a count of three.

Dancing fat man with pimply bottom and mediocre matches yes, but what a devastating manoeuvre to finish with.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
