10 Great WWE Matches With One Notable Botch

1. Shawn Michaels Vs. The Undertaker (WrestleMania XXV)

It's widely regarded as one of, if not the, best match in WWE history. But even this legendary contest wasn't safe from the curse of the botch.

We won't spoil this match if you haven't seen it, but we will talk about the moment that The Undertaker almost planted himself straight in the ground like some sort of Gothic farmer.

'Taker went to perform a Suicide Dive on Michaels on the outside of the ring. A cameraman - who was actually wrestler, Sim Snuka - was supposed to break 'Taker's fall. As you can see by the above footage, this is very much not what happened.

'Taker instead landed head first on the outside of the ring. No matter how many times you watch this clip, it's still cringe-inducing to see The Phenom spike himself like this and it's amazing that this didn't end his career then and there.

The Undertaker not only finished the match, but helped HBK to one of the best performances of either man's careers.

It was an unfortunate accident that led to this very scary moment; Snuka, son of Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka", simply didn't get into position in time. However, you don't make a mistake like this and stay employed for very long and Snuka was released from his contract just a few months later.

At least that was the only casualty involved in this bout.
