8. Cesaro Vs Rob Van Dam (2014)
Blink and you might have missed Rob Van Dam's most recent WWE run.
The one-time ECW Champion briefly returned to his old stomping ground off the heels of WrestleMania 30, and though there was as much fanfare as ever he was largely confined to the odd pay-per-view opener and a couple of run-ins with The Authority.
In fact, at SummerSlam he only made the pre-show, when he took on Cesaro in an eight-minute curtain-raiser while the real stars (like Stephanie McMahon and Brie Bella) were warming up backstage.
This was a match-up that would have generated considerable excitement about five years earlier - before RVD became a part-timer, and before Cesaro's career hit a brick wall. But as wrestling fans we are grateful for small blessings - and this was an excellent bout, time constraints considered.
