10 Greatest Big Man/Little Man WWE Tag Teams Of All Time
2. Jeri-Show
Has any other odd couple in WWE history managed to defy fan expectations and grasp greatness out of thin air like Chris Jericho and the Big Show? Damn it if they didn't become one of the best heel pairings of the modern era.
When Jericho's former tag partner, Edge, was sidelined with an injury, he announced Big Show as his mystery partner for 2009's Night of Champions tag title defence. There wasn't much rejoicing.
At first glance, it felt like yet another slapdash marriage of two singles competitors who both needed something to do. And to have them start their partnership as the Unified Champions by default? That surely seemed like too much for this random coalition to live up to.
And then they feuded with Cryme Tyme and actually made them relevant. And then they fought Batista and Rey Mysterio in one of the best matches of Hell in a Cell '09. And then they headlined TLC with DX and brought the house down.
Jeri-Show practically carried the tag team division during their short, six-month stint together, proving that if you put the appropriate time and effort into fleshing out an idea, even the most haphazard team-up can resonate.
