10 Greatest Cage Matches In WWE History
3. Brock Lesnar Vs. Triple H - Extreme Rules 2013
As a former UFC Champion, Brock Lesnar is no stranger to being inside a cage. In fact, he probably feels quite at home within the mesh confines, which spelled bad news for Triple H at Extreme Rules 2013.
As the third and deciding confrontation of their feud - with 'The Beast' winning at SummerSlam 2012 and 'The Game' emerging victorious at WrestleMania XXIX - the high stakes bout was an eagerly anticipated match up. Furthermore, it was the first time Brock had been inside a cage since returning from the UFC, and fans were eager to see what he had in store for Triple H when the cage door was locked shut.
Fans weren't disappointed and Lesnar was all 'Beast' in this bout, launching his opponent around like he was nothing. With Triple H attempting to capitalise on Lesnar's mistakes by working over his leg, the match told a perfect story. Better still, Brock did a masterful job of selling and left the audience genuinely unsure who would walk out victorious.
Even Paul Heyman got involved in the action, taking a surprisingly awesome looking Pedigree along the way. With weapons littering the ring, Lesnar eventually vanquished 'The King of Kings', leaving 'The Game' prone in the ring with his own sledgehammer symbolically resting on his chest.
