10 Greatest Comebacks In UFC History
5. Todd Duffee Vs. Mike Russow - UFC 114
You've got to feel bad for Todd Duffee following this fight. Prior to facing Mike Russow, the heavyweight was an undefeated knockout artist who many believed would achieve some huge things inside the UFC. If his Octagon debut - a seven second knockout over Tim Hague at UFC 102 - was anything to go by then he was quickly going to become a threat for all the other big men.
His second bout in the promotion was against part-time fighter and full-time police officer Mike Russow. It was considered by many as another chance to show the UFC and the fans watching that he was the next big thing at heavyweight. Duffee did just that for most of the fight, picking Russow apart, landing at will with his superior striking and using his athleticism to avoid any attacks sent his way.
However, as the old adage goes, it only takes one punch to turn a fight around and that's all Russow required. Throwing a missile of a right straight directly at Duffee's jaw, Russow floored him in one moment of absurd of violence that completely changed the trajectory of his career.
