10 Greatest Female Wrestling Managers Ever

9. Debra

If Chicago Bears Super Bowl-winning linebacker Steve "Mongo" McMichael's introduction to the wrestling business brought fans one positive, it was in the form of his leggy blonde bombshell of a wife, Debra. A former beauty pageant contestant, the beautiful southern belle instantly irritated fans with her me-first attitude and her grating voice. By the time she turned on McMichael and sided with Jeff Jarrett in WCW's lame attempt at a love triangle, a strong case could be made for her being the company's most hated star. When Jarrett opted to return to WWE in 1997, he found it difficult to fit in with the new direction the company was headed in with the Attitude Era. For the second time in as many years, he would benefit from an on-screen partnership with Debra. She debuted in the fall of 1998 and instantly injected some much-needed life into Jarrett's character. The pair rekindled the chemistry they had in WCW and became a formidable midcard act. Unlike WCW, which was much stricter when it came to content standards, Debra had free reign to unleash her considerable sex appeal on the WWE fans. Gone was the gown and tiara. In its place? Sexy business suits that always managed to show an excess of leg and cleavage. Debra was a sexpot and she knew how to use it to her advantage, regularly distracting Jarrett's opponents and helping aid him to victory. It was her sex appeal and deceptive intelligence that helped her guide Jarrett to the Intercontinental Championship numerous times throughout 1999, not to mention the WWE Tag Team Championships, with Owen Hart as his partner.

Erik Beaston is a freelance pro wrestling writer who likes long walks in the park, dandelions and has not quite figured out that this introduction is not for Match.com. He resides in Parts Unknown, where he hosts weekly cookouts with Kane, The Ultimate Warrior, Papa Shango and The Boogeyman. Be jealous.
