Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho has so often been cited as one of the most underrated feuds of the 21st century, it's perhaps better recognised as a great rivalry outright. A crucial chapter of their complex story came in the main event of No Mercy 2008, a 20-minute showcase of storytelling and understated brutality.

Although several high spots were present and correct (most notably a huge elbow drop from HBK, onto a ladder beneath which Y2J lay trapped), the more important aspect of this match was its excellent structure and escalating drama.

The finish was as inventive as they come, with both men playing tug-of-war with the World Heavyweight Championship, before the more ruthless Jericho used momentum to swing himself into a vicious headbutt - sending HBK tumbling to the canvas. Beautiful.
